Design and Implementation of PCB Inductors With Litz-Wire Structure for Conventional-Size Large-Signal Domestic Induction Heating Applications PROJECT TITLE:Design and Implementation of PCB Inductors With Litz-Wire Structure for Conventional-Size Large-Signal Domestic Induction Heating ApplicationsABSTRACT:Printed circuit board (PCB) implementations offer high repeatability and ease of manufacturing with potential value savings for several applications. An optimization procedure is proposed for planning PCB inductors for use in domestic induction cooktops. Cables for classical inductors are engineered of multistranded round litz wire for potency reasons. A planar litz structure during a PCB has been applied to realize a similar performance to that of ancient constructions (in terms of maximum output power, inductive efficiency, and thermal behavior). The inductor performance has been optimized by a finite-element-analysis-tool-based mostly methodology taking under consideration the facility losses in rectangular cross-sectional tracks of the cable additionally as the geometrical constraints of PCB implementations and the wants of the associated electronics. Finally, the proposed methodology has been validated by means that of experimental measurements underneath massive-signal conditions on a PCB inductor prototype. Did you like this research project?
