PROJECT TITLE :

Coverage analysis and active scheme of wireless sensor networks

ABSTRACT:

Coverage is thought to be one in every of the important quality of service deserves of a wireless sensor network (WSN) to judge its monitoring capability. During this study, the authors develop a novel quantitative method to evaluate the quality of coverage of sensors. Deployment entropy is introduced to live non-uniformity in sensor coverage, that could reveal the quality of sensor deployment while not considering the sensing region of the sensors. Moreover, the authors develop a theme of activating pre-deployed sensors based mostly on the result of deployment entropy, that is to activate additional pre-deployed sensors to keep with the tendency of skyrocketing the deployment entropy. The simulation results show that it will improve the sensing coverage with less active sensors than the opposite sensor placement method
