Feature topic: Visible light Communications

ABSTRACT:

The April 2015 issue is printed with mainly two sections. The primary section may be a Feature Topic (FT) entitled ???Visible Light-weight Communications,??? co-edited by Nan Chi, Harald Haas, Mohsen Kavehrad, Thomas DC Very little, and Xin-Lin Huang, who are consultants operating in visible light-weight communications (VLC) for several years. VLC indeed has attracted a lot of attention recently in the wireless Communication community due to the very fact that the visible light-weight spectrum offers a ton of untamed free bandwidth, that will be used to supply ultra-fast speed wireless communications. On the opposite hand, radio spectrum has been extraordinarily scarce and it's extraordinarily difficult to squeeze out additional useful bandwidth for futuristic high rate wireless communications.
