MINE GOLD to Deliver Green Cognitive Communications

PROJECT TITLE :

MINE GOLD to Deliver Green Cognitive Communications

ABSTRACT:

Geo-location database-assisted TV white area network reduces the requirement for energy-intensive processes (like spectrum sensing), and hence will achieve green cognitive communication effectively. The success of such a network depends on a correct business model that has incentives for all parties concerned. During this paper, we have a tendency to propose a Model of data markEt for GeO-Location Database (MINE GOLD), which permits databases to sell spectrum data to unlicensed white space devices (WSDs) for profit. Specifically, we have a tendency to focus on an oligopoly information market with multiple databases, and study the interactions among databases and WSDs employing a two-stage hierarchical model. In Stage I, databases compete to sell info to WSDs by optimizing their info prices. In Stage II, every WSD decides whether and from that database to get the data, to maximize his benefit of using the TV white house. We 1st characterize how the WSDs’ buying behaviors dynamically evolve, and what is the equilibrium point below fixed info prices from the databases. We then analyze how the system parameters and therefore the databases’ pricing selections have an effect on the market equilibrium, and what is the equilibrium of the database worth competition. Our numerical results show that, perhaps counter-intuitively, the databases’ combination revenue isn't monotonic with the quantity of databases. Moreover, numerical results show that a large degree of positive network externality would improve the databases’ revenues and therefore the system performance.
