PROJECT TITLE :

Mission-critical mobile broadband Communications in open-pit mines

ABSTRACT:

The requirement for continuous safety improvements and increased operational potency is driving the mining industry through a transition toward automated operations. From a Communications perspective, this transition introduces a brand new set of high-bandwidth business-critical and mission- essential applications that need to be met by the wireless network. This text introduces elementary ideas behind open-pit mining and discusses why this ever-changing atmosphere and strict industrial reliability necessities cause distinctive challenges to traditional broadband network designing and optimization techniques. On the other hand, not like unpredictable disaster scenarios, mining could be a fastidiously planned activity. Taking advantage of this predictability part, we have a tendency to propose a framework that integrates mine and radio network coming up with thus that continuous and automatic adaptation of the radio network becomes attainable. The potential edges of this framework are evaluated by means that of an illustrative example.
