PROJECT TITLE :

Clustered car-following strategy for improving car-following stability under Cooperative Vehicles Infrastructure Systems

ABSTRACT:

In this study, the problem of automotive-following stability is considered. This study presents a clustered car-following strategy based mostly on inter-vehicle Communications (IVCs), that contributes to derive a additional accurate feedback management for improving the steadiness. In order to take care of automobile-following stability, two conditions are thought-about, which are primarily based on the management theory and a modified optimal velocity automotive-following model. In simulations, the results demonstrate that the strategy is effective on the stability of automobile-following, and the effect becomes a lot of obvious because the market penetration rates of IVC-equipped vehicles increase. Even in low market penetration rate (five%), the proposed strategy has vital influence on the stability and therefore the recovering time.
