PROJECT TITLE :

A Tabletop-Centric Smart Space for Emergency Response

ABSTRACT:

This text describes the planning and implementation of a smart space for emergency response based mostly on 5 system design pointers. A large-scale interactive tabletop with dedicated software is the middle for collaboration. Data on the tabletop and peripheral devices will be shared via a user interface sharing technique. The authors deployed their smart space during a forest fireplace simulation and evaluated team performance compared with a control group. Analysis of the results reveals that this sensible space will considerably improve team performance as well as team cognition. This article is half of a special issue on smart areas.
