ABSTRACT:

A routine laboratory exercise for an undergraduate electrical engineering student is to build a simple electronic filter circuit and determine its frequency and transient response. During the exercise, the student exposes the circuit to a range of electrical signals and captures the voltage and current characteristics. The relationship between what the circuit is exposed to and how it responds allows for developing a transfer function that provides insight into how the circuit operates.
