PROJECT TITLE :

4D Blood Flow Reconstruction Over the Entire Ventricle From Wall Motion and Blood Velocity Derived From Ultrasound Data

ABSTRACT:

We demonstrate a replacement methodology to recover 4D blood flow over the entire ventricle from partial blood velocity measurements using multiple colour Doppler images and ventricular wall motion estimated using BMode images. We have a tendency to apply our approach to realistic simulated data to determine the power of the strategy to deal with incomplete information, as usually happens in clinical observe. Experiments using synthetic knowledge show that the use of wall motion improves velocity reconstruction, shows more correct flow patterns and improves mean accuracy notably when coverage of the ventricle is poor. The tactic was applied to patient knowledge from vi congenital cases, producing results according to the simulations. The employment of wall motion made additional plausible flow patterns and reduced the reconstruction error in all patients.
