Floor Pressure Imaging for Fall Detection with Fiber-Optic Sensors PROJECT TITLE :Floor Pressure Imaging for Fall Detection with Fiber-Optic SensorsABSTRACT:Falls are a significant health risk for the elderly, decreasing their ability to measure independently. This text proposes a novel feature-specific floor pressure imaging system that uses a sensible floor embedded with fiber sensors. The potential applications include indoor human-activity analysis for intelligent surveillance. In specific, the authors specialise in the applying of fall detection in an exceedingly toilet state of affairs. Their fall detection methodology consists of two steps: floor pressure imaging for target posture classification and the autumn event call based on the classified target postures. Fall detection experiments validated the proposed technique. This article is half of a special issue on domestic pervasive computing. Did you like this research project?
