PROJECT TITLE :

The Road Ahead for Architectural Languages

ABSTRACT:

Despite the large variety of architectural languages that are proposed within the last 2 decades, evidence today shows that trade-prepared, well-accepted, and recognized languages for producing design descriptions are still lacking. This article explores the usability needs of architectural languages from the views of language definition, language mechanisms, and gear support. With a higher understanding of architectural-language necessities, the authors explore the employment of model-driven engineering to understand next-generation architectural languages, as well as its limitations.
