Adaptive Contention Window Control Scheme in Wireless Ad Hoc Networks - 2018 PROJECT TITLE :Adaptive Contention Window Control Scheme in Wireless Ad Hoc Networks - 2018ABSTRACT:This competition mechanism of the IEEE 802.11 distributed coordination function (DCF) is understood to own some drawbacks, e.g., collisions and low short-term fairness induced by minimizing the backoff stage once each successful transmission. To unravel the drawbacks we propose an adaptive rivalry window management scheme which uses one backoff stage whereas maintaining the benefits of the current IEEE 802.11 DCF such as simplicity and distributivity. We tend to 1st introduce the key concept referred to as the optimal collision chance and justify the detailed procedure of the proposed scheme which is based on the optimal collision chance. The convergence of the proposed theme is shown. The validation from simulation results shows that the proposed theme provides higher throughputs and better short-term fairness than the IEEE 802.eleven DCF. Did you like this research project?
