PROJECT TITLE :
Perceptual Quality Assessment for 3D Triangle Mesh Based on Curvature
ABSTRACT:
Triangle meshes are utilized in illustration of 3D geometric models, and they are subject to various visual distortions during geometrical processing and transmission. In this study, we have a tendency to propose a novel objective quality assessment methodology for 3D meshes primarily based on curvature data; in step with characteristics of the human visual system (HVS), two new parts including visual masking and saturation result are designed for the proposed methodology. Besides, inspired by the very fact that the HVS is sensitive to structural info, we compute the structure distortion of 3D meshes. We take a look at the performance of the proposed technique on three publicly out there databases of 3D mesh quality evaluation. We have a tendency to rotate among these databases for parameter determination to demonstrate the robustness of the proposed theme. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed methodology will predict consistent leads to terms of correlation to the subjective scores across the databases.
