A Sub-1-V 194- 31-dB FOM 2.3–2.5-GHz Mixer-First Receiver Frontend for WBAN With Mutual Noise Cancellation

PROJECT TITLE :

A Sub-1-V 194- 31-dB FOM 2.3–2.5-GHz Mixer-First Receiver Frontend for WBAN With Mutual Noise Cancellation

ABSTRACT:

A coffee-power low-noise zero.seven-V mixer-initial RF frontend for an IEEE 802.fifteen.vi narrowband receiver is presented, that uses frequency translated mutual noise cancellation based on passive coupling. In contrast to ancient noise-cancelling techniques, we have a tendency to perform symmetrical noise cancellation of a absolutely differential structure where every path cancels the noise of the other at IF. This prototype design realized in TSMC's 65-nm CMOS tackles the noise figure and power consumption problems of sub-one-V mixers. The figure of benefit is ten dB higher and the facility consumption is 194 μW, which is 0.5 × lower than the state-of-the-art. The native oscillator power used is -fourteen dBm.
