Improving Power System Static Security Margins by Means of a Real Coded Genetic Algorithm PROJECT TITLE :Improving Power System Static Security Margins by Means of a Real Coded Genetic AlgorithmABSTRACT:This paper introduces a brand new technique of removing thermal overloads and voltage limits in an electric Power System by means that of the Evolution of Corrective and Preventive management Actions (ECPA). The goal is to find the minimum number of management actions that solve the identified limit violations at minimum price. A recombination operator based on kind theory allows the codification of control actions during a natural and straightforward means. ECPA has been tested on the IEEE thirty-bus and the IEEE 118-bus systems. The limit violations are solved at minimum price and with fewer control actions on average than alternative methods.
