PROJECT TITLE :

Performance Analysis of Elastic Optical Network Comparing to Current Wavelength Division Multiplexing

ABSTRACT:

During this paper, we tend to investigate and analyze the spectral allocation in Elastic Optical Network (EON). We tend to compare the present model mounted grade 50 GHz allocation per channel of Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) with EON flexible grade. We tend to propose three bit rate demands situations to evaluate the EON performance. 1st, current state of affairs with bit rate till 100 Gb/s. Second situation, next generation of bit rate with until 400 Gb/s and therefore the last one, future state of affairs with bit rate till 1 Tb/s. Our laptop simulation results shows that the new EON versatile schema can offers a blocking probability reduction up to twenty two% in comparison to the WDM fixed grade.
