Amitran methodology framework for evaluating the impact of information and communication technology-based measures on CO2 emissions in the transport field PROJECT TITLE :Amitran methodology framework for evaluating the impact of information and Communication technology-based measures on CO2 emissions in the transport fieldABSTRACT:Transport is a crucial source of air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. Though the applications of knowledge and Communication technologies (ICTs) for transport, also referred to as intelligent transport systems, are seen as having great potential to help reduce emissions from road transport, their precise impact on CO2 emissions are uncertain for call manufacturers from government to trade. This uncertainty hinders the deployment of such applications. Therefore there is a want for a common analysis approach to assess the CO2 impact of ICT measures in an exceedingly systemic and realistic method. In this study, a methodology framework to guage the impact of ICT measures on CO2 emissions is explained. The methodology was developed at intervals the European Union FP7 project Amitran. In explicit, this study focuses on the outline and also the framework architecture of the methodology with the desired interfaces between the specified models. The utilization of the methodology is demonstrated by applying it to a use case of dynamic traffic lightweight systems. Finally, the efforts made to validate the methodology and make it accessible to users are explained. Did you like this research project? To get this research project Guidelines, Training and Code...
