From Piecemeal Engineering to Twitter Technology: Toward Computational Societies


Some observers raise the spectre of a world after a “singularity” in that machine intelligence exceeds human intelligence. That could be unlikely, but the specter of technological capacity still exists. Maybe the idea of an “open society” combined with cyberspace and intelligent systems might produce a “computational society” that's open, impartial, and honest.
