ABSTRACT:

The evolution of electrical motor design because it pertains to cooling strategies provides insights regarding higher ways to chill machines in service. The array of ways engineers have devised to unravel the identical problems are fascinating nonetheless reassuring as a result of many things remain unchanged even when a century of progress. This article discusses how motors are cooled and the way heat dissipation can be improved for applications that fall outside the traditional operating conditions outlined by the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) Commonplace MG one [1].
