PROJECT TITLE :

Insulation contamination of overhead transmission lines by extreme service conditions

ABSTRACT:

This paper investigates the specifications of suspended linear insulators under extreme contamination conditions: entrainments of agricultural chemical plants combined with alkaline soil dirt. The authors outline the performance properties of insulators with a large extended surface when contaminated by highly adhesive dust. The authors also offer recommendations on the check procedure as well as the selection of optimal insulator configuration for extreme service conditions.
