Approach for home appliance recognition using vector projection length and Stockwell transform PROJECT TITLE :Approach for home appliance recognition using vector projection length and Stockwell transformABSTRACT:Recognition of residential electrical appliances has been a highlighted space of research in recent times because of increasing energy consumption in residential sectors around the planet. The use of instant current from 17 commonly presented electrical appliances in homes is proposed. The Stockwell rework, a time-frequency-domain remodel, is applied to current collected knowledge for use as a load signature. Then, a novel method for identification of electrical appliances was used to analyse the information. This methodology is an image pattern recognition technique, known as vector projection length (VPC). During this case, the concept is to recognise patterns in appliances transformed into a 2D image. An intensive analysis is presented, analysing the trade-off between the coaching set database, the quantity of current cycles used and the variable k from the VPC projection equation, looking for optimal parameters for this application. Results have shown successful identification employing VPC, shut to 90% of devices being identified. Did you like this research project? To get this research project Guidelines, Training and Code...
