ABSTRACT:

This paper proposes a photovoltaic (PV) array primarily based cascaded H-bridge multilevel inverter (CHBMLI) operating active power filter as a shunt for four wire distribution system. This system is employed for the facility acclimatizing of distribution network as it's composed of linear, nonlinear and unbalanced loads. Solar Photovoltaic shaped isolated source for CHBMLI. This active filter minimize line harmonics, minimize neutral wire current concerning to zero and it conjointly injects real power as per demand of the system. The grid interface and needed reference signal generation is administered with the assistance of Instantaneous power theory. The simulation studies are administrated in MATLAB Simulink surroundings.
