Induction motor drives with direct torque control and feedback linearization

PROJECT TITLE :

Direct Torque Control With Feedback Linearization for Induction Motor Drives

ABSTRACT:

Induction motor drive with feedback linearization and sliding-mode control is described in this study as a DTC (direct torque control) system (SMC). A decoupled linear IM model with two state variables, torque and stator flux magnitude, is obtained using a new feedback linearization approach. This simple linear model is used to create a DTC-type controller that keeps all of DTC's benefits while removing the key downside, namely, flux and torque ripple.. SMC with proportional control at the sliding surface provides robust, quick, and ripple-free control. Durability is ensured by SMC, while torque and flux ripple are eliminated by the proportional component. Compared to standard DTC, the suggested approach is flexible and highly customizable because of the P component. The torque time response is similar. Simulations are used to demonstrate the controller's robust stability. Compared to a linear DTC method with and without feedback linearization, a sliding controller is evaluated. Extensive tests on a sensorless IM drive have proven the feasibility of the suggested approach.
