A Distributed Coordination Control for a Cluster of DC Microgrids based on a Finite-Time Consensus Algorithm
PROJECT TITLE :
A Distributed Coordination Control based on Finite-time Consensus Algorithm for a Cluster of DC Microgrids
ABSTRACT:
One of the most promising ways to improve power generating reliability and reduce costs is to use many interconnected DC-microgrids in a cluster. Using a distributed coordination control technique, this research proposes a solution to a number of centralised control issues. As part of the droop-based hierarchical structure, voltage and power generation costs are controlled with the addition of an improved multi-objective formula to the standard formula used for these two functions. In addition, a finite-time consensus algorithm is used to derive the average value achieved through a series of finite steps. Furthermore, an approximated linked structure is proposed to better use the finite-time consensus technique and speed up convergence. This proposed topology ensures that all of this control mechanism is a fully dispersed one, which does not require the global information previously and is highly dependable. Based on simulations, this proposed control technique has been tested in a single dc microgrid and a whole cluster of four of them. All of the simulation results show that the recommended strategies are effective in a variety of settings.
