A General PLL Type Algorithm for Speed Sensor less Control of Electrical Drives - 2017


Speed control of electrical drives without extra speed sensors is preferable in terms of cost and maintenance effort. Common approaches are either straightforward but inaccurate with deteriorated drive performance in the low-speed vary, or they offer full torque even at zero speed at the price of high implementation effort and parameter sensitivity. Moreover, most of the urged solutions are tailor made for specific machine sorts. The proposed technique constitutes a easy part-locked-loop-type sensorless algorithm which will be related to the former class. The outstanding feature of the presented method is its effectiveness and simplicity at the same time. This paper presents corresponding style guidelines for an easy to implement and strong speed sensorless management algorithm for all types of electrical machines that features induction machines and synchronous reluctance machines with and without extra/permanent excitation.
