Parallel inductor multilevel current sourceinverter with energy-recovery scheme forinductor currents balancing - 2016 PROJECT TITLE :Parallel inductor multilevel current sourceinverter with energy-recovery scheme forinductor currents balancing - 2016ABSTRACT:Current source inverters (CSIs) have increasingly become common because of their inherent benefits over voltage supply inverter. During a single section system, the operation of multilevel current supply inverter (MCSI) requires giant and bulky DC link inductor and the utilization of switching state redundancy to balance the inductor currents limit the advantages of MCSI. This study proposed a brand new configuration for parallel MCSI. The proposed energy-recovery scheme provides a significant path to unharness its stored energy so as to balance the sharing inductor currents and introduces a unique single state switching technique for the generation of MCSI output current. In addition, a chopper circuit with smaller inductor size is used to interchange the big and ponderous input DC link inductor. An integration of 5-level MCSI and a chopper based mostly DC-current source with energy recovery theme circuits manufacture a five-level MCSI with a simple converter structure. The performance of the proposed MCSI is analysed through MATLAB and is verified by constructing a prototype. The results demonstrate that the proposed circuit with the balancing inductor current theme significantly reduces the input DC link inductor size, eliminate the management complexity in balancing the inductor currents and has glorious sharing inductor current characteristics.
