Interference-Based Topology Control Algorithm for Delay-Constrained Mobile Ad Hoc Networks - 2015 PROJECT TITLE: Interference-Based Topology Control Algorithm for Delay-Constrained Mobile Ad Hoc Networks - 2015 ABSTRACT: As the muse of routing, topology management should minimize the interference among nodes, and increase the network capability. With the development of mobile impromptu networks (MANETs), there's a growing requirement of quality of service (QoS) in terms of delay. In order to meet the delay requirement, it is vital to consider topology management in delay constrained setting, which is contradictory to the target of minimizing interference. In this paper, we concentrate on the delay-constrained topology management drawback, and take under consideration delay and interference jointly. We tend to propose a cross-layer distributed algorithm called interference-primarily based topology management algorithm for delay-constrained (ITCD) MANETs with considering both the interference constraint and therefore the delay constraint, which is completely different from the previous work. The transmission delay, competition delay and also the queuing delay are taken into consideration within the proposed algorithm. Moreover, the impact of node mobility on the interference-based topology control algorithm is investigated and therefore the unstable links are far from the topology. The simulation results show that ITCD can cut back the delay and improve the performance effectively in delay-constrained mobile ad hoc networks. Did you like this research project?
