A Hierarchical Detection and Response System to Enhance Security Against Lethal Cyber-Attacks in UAV Networks - 2017 PROJECT TITLE : A Hierarchical Detection and Response System to Enhance Security Against Lethal Cyber-Attacks in UAV Networks - 2017 ABSTRACT: Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) networks have not however received considerable analysis attention. Specifically, security problems are a major concern as a result of such networks, which carry important information, are at risk of various attacks. In this paper, we have a tendency to design and implement a unique intrusion detection and response theme, that operates at the UAV and ground station levels, to detect malicious anomalies that threaten the network. In this theme, a set of detection and response techniques are proposed to observe the UAV behaviors and categorize them into the appropriate list (traditional, abnormal, suspect, and malicious) in keeping with the detected cyber-attack. We tend to focus on the foremost lethal cyber-attacks that may target an UAV network, specifically, false information dissemination, GPS spoofing, jamming, and black hole and gray hole attacks. Intensive simulations make sure that the proposed theme performs well in terms of attack detection even with a massive range of UAVs and attackers since it exhibits a high detection rate, a coffee variety of false positives, and prompt detection with an occasional Communication overhead.
