Hybrid Analog–Digital Transmit Beamforming for Spectrum Sharing Backhaul Networks - 2018

ABSTRACT:

This Project deals with the problem of analog-digital transmit beamforming under spectrum sharing constraints for backhaul systems. In contrast to totally digital designs, where the spatial processing is finished at baseband unit with all the versatile computational resources of digital processors, analog-digital beamforming schemes need that sure processing is completed through analog components, such as section-shifters or switches. These analog elements don't have the same processing flexibility as the digital processor, however on the other hand, they'll substantially scale back the price and complexity of the beamforming solution. This Project presents the joint optimization of the analog and digital parts, which leads to a nonconvex, NP-arduous, and matched downside.
