To a Unified Quality Scale, from Pairwise Comparisons and Ratings PROJECT TITLE : From Pairwise Comparisons and Rating to a Unified Quality Scale ABSTRACT: The purpose of psychometric scaling is to quantify perceptual experiences and comprehend the relationship between an external stimulus, an internal representation, and a response to that stimulus. These papers present a probabilistic framework for the integration of multiple experimental techniques in psychophysics, particularly rating and pairwise comparisons. To merge datasets of a subjective character and to conduct studies in which both measurements are obtained, such an approach can be utilised. Scaling and combining both experimental techniques is necessary and advantageous in a set of experiments and simulations with benchmarks and real-world picture quality assessment datasets, as demonstrated by the time and accuracy results. There are a number of different subjective quality-of-experience tasks that can be generalised from this research. Did you like this research project?
