PROJECT TITLE :

Low-Density Parity-Check Codes for ATSC 3.0

ABSTRACT:

During this paper, we have a tendency to introduce the overview and detailed structure of low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes, which are adopted for the physical layer commonplace of Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) three.zero. As one in all the features to mitigate channel errors efficiently, LDPC codes are used as a main half of forward error correction scheme inside the bit interleaved coded modulation chain. This paper presents two different structures of LDPC codes in the ATSC 3.0 standard: one) irregular repeat accumulate structure and a couple of) multi-edge type structure. After the detailed encoding strategies for the 2 structures are introduced, the performance results together with comparison studies with different broadcasting standards such as DVB-T2 and DVB-S2 are shown.
