Introduction to the Special Issue: Content Strategy— A Unifying Vision

ABSTRACT:

The papers during this special section target effective content strategies. As a unifying vision and action plan, content strategy brings along varied specialised writing communities, together with skilled and technical Communication, selling communication, and web development, ideally breaking disciplinary silos and biases and promoting convergence of those four key dimensions of practice Element content management???an interdisciplinary area of follow that focuses on making and managing data as small components instead of documents has brought significant changes to professional and technical communication work since 2008. One major modification is that the move toward integrating organizational and user-generated content also disciplines and departments, experience and roles, and business processes and tools. As stakeholders with various backgrounds across organizational units increasingly work together to form and publish content parts, they have a unifying approach that fulfills business goals, organization necessities, and user desires. Content strategy has been proposed as that unifying approach.
