An Economical Fiber Bragg Grating Interrogator for Medium-Scale Sensing Application PROJECT TITLE :An Economical Fiber Bragg Grating Interrogator for Medium-Scale Sensing ApplicationABSTRACT:In this letter, we tend to propose and experimentally demonstrate an economical fiber Bragg grating (FBG) interrogating theme for medium-scale sensing application. The interrogator is predicated on a 2-nm bandwidth superfluorescent fiber source combined with a footing filter with complementary outputs. The impact of the power drift of the optical source and the variance of fiber loss have been investigated and eliminated. The experiment was made and a temperature resolution of zero.8 °C was demonstrated over ninety °C vary. Initial results show that the interrogator is proved to be robust and value-effective for medium-scale FBG sensing application. Did you like this research project?
