Military Fleet Mix Computation and Analysis [Application Notes]

ABSTRACT:

A serious money expense for any military is that the acquisition, operation, and maintenance of vehicles such as ships [one] and aircraft [a pair of]. For example, the U.S. Air Force estimates that the acquisition of the F-thirty five fighter aircraft can value $156 million every [3], hence even slight enhancements in fleet efficiency and/or effectiveness will save governments giant amounts of cash or, using the identical budget, can obtain higher equipment. Such high costs have driven the event and application of optimization and simulation methodologies to problems of military fleet combine computation and analysis. The complexity of military fleet combine problems, due in giant part to the uncertainty, multi-objectivity, and temporal criticality of military missions, has resulted within the increased use of computational intelligence (CI) ways for solving them.
