Towards the classification of properties of Self-Sovereign Identity PROJECT TITLE : Towards the classification of Self-Sovereign Identity properties ABSTRACT: Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) is a novel and emerging, decentralized digital identity approach that enables entities to control and manage their digital identifiers and associated identity data while simultaneously enhancing trust, privacy, security, and the many other properties identified and analyzed in this paper. SSI was developed by the Self-Sovereign Identity Foundation (SSIF), which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the development of digital identity technologies. In this paper, an overview and classification of the SSI properties are presented, with an emphasis on an in-depth analysis. In addition, a comprehensive collection of SSI properties that are important for the implementation of the SSI system is presented. In addition to this, it examines the overall flow of the SSI process and focuses on the steps that bring attention to the importance of individual properties. Following the phase of initial purification and classification, we then used an online questionnaire to validate properties among experts in the field of Decentralized and Self-Sovereign Identity Management. This produced a final set of classified and verified SSI properties, which we then used to create a final report. The findings may be put to use in subsequent efforts pertaining to the definition and standardization of the SSI field. Did you like this research project?
