A Blockchain-Based Solution to Reduce Medical Supply Overproduction and Underconsumption PROJECT TITLE : A Blockchain-Based Solution for Mitigating Overproduction and Underconsumption of Medical Supplies ABSTRACT: Over the course of the last decade, there has been a loss of several billions of dollars that has been attributed to the overproduction and underconsumption of medical supplies. In most cases, the overproduction and underconsumption are the result of the current healthcare supply chain systems' lack of accountability, transparency, traceability, audit, assessment, security, and trust features. It is necessary to ensure that everyone receives an equitable share of the medical supplies and that none of them are wasted in the process. In this article, we propose a solution that makes use of Blockchain technology and ensures the commitment and accountability of all participants in order to stop those participants from producing any waste that isn't necessary. In order to conduct an accurate and objective waste assessment, we break the process down into five distinct phases, which include registration, commitment, production, delivery, and consumption. We develop four smart contracts with the goal of ensuring data provenance, transparency, security, and accountability while also automatically recording all actions on an immutable ledger. In order to combat the issue of large amounts of data, we make use of storage that is not centralized on the Blockchain. We discuss each phase of the proposed solution and present five algorithms, along with full details of their implementation, testing, and validation. In order to ensure that our smart contracts are secure to an adequate degree and that they do not contain any vulnerabilities or flaws, we perform the security analysis. On GitHub, the source code for smart contracts can be accessed by the general public. Did you like this research project? To get this research project Guidelines, Training and Code...
