Online Tracking of Transmission-Line<?Pub _newline ?> Parameters Using SCADA Data PROJECT TITLE :Online Tracking of Transmission-Line Parameters Using SCADA DataABSTRACT:Series impedance and shunt admittance parameters of transmission lines are fundamental information for numerous on-line and offline Power System studies. This paper shows that the active power, reactive power, and voltage magnitude (P, Q, V) data measured at the 2 ends of a transmission line are sufficient to determine the positive-sequence line parameters. The part-angle information is not essential. Since the P, Q, and V information are readily on the market from the supervisory management and knowledge-acquisition systems, the proposed method can be easily implemented in existing management centers. Algorithms, characteristics, performances, and potential applications of the proposed methodology are presented during this paper. Simulation study and field check results show that the proposed technique can be a helpful addition to the energy-management systems of utility companies. Did you like this research project?
