Distributed Data Management Service for VPH Applications

PROJECT TITLE :

Distributed Data Management Service for VPH Applications

ABSTRACT:

For several medical applications, it's difficult to access giant datasets, which are often hosted across totally different domains on heterogeneous infrastructures. Homogenizing the infrastructure to simplify knowledge access is unrealistic; thus, it's important to develop Distributed Storage that doesn't introduce added complexity. Here, a solution is investigated that flexibly federates information on clouds or grids while not changing the prevailing infrastructure, instead scaling with the increasing information demand. Unlike existing approaches, this method is not bound to a particular technology and does not require further effort from administrators, users, or application developers to federate and use the storage infrastructure.
