Lorentz Force Evaluation With Differential Evolution

PROJECT TITLE :

Lorentz Force Evaluation With Differential Evolution

ABSTRACT:

In the framework of nondestructive testing and evaluation, Lorentz force evaluation (LFE) is a methodology for reconstructing defects in electrically conducting laminated composites. During this paper, we tend to propose a brand new inverse calculation strategy for LFE based mostly on a stochastic optimization, the differential evolution (DE) algorithm. We determined the optimal control parameters for the DE and assessed its performance based mostly on simulated and measured knowledge. The results show that the depth of the defect was estimated correctly for all of the info sets that we have a tendency to evaluated. The geometry was reconstructed with errors of but 4% relative to the size of the defect. The proposed theme was strong against noise and distortions in the info measurements. We conclude that the proposed reconstruction scheme could be a promising method for solving the inverse problem in LFE.
