Efficient Implicit Model-Predictive Control of a Three-Phase Inverter With an Output LC Filter

ABSTRACT:

Three-part inverters with an output LC filter are commonly used to provide sinusoidal voltages with low-harmonic distortion. Constraint on peak filter current is often fascinating to safeguard the parts from potential harm. In case of constraints, implicit and express model-predictive control (MPC) are a number of the possible controller choices. The typical implicit MPC needs a large variety of computations, whereas express MPC cannot directly incorporate real-time changes in model parameters, whereas still being computationally expensive than a number of the other management schemes, e.g., hysteresis, weary control, etc. In this paper, we tend to propose a new approach to unravel the optimization drawback in implicit MPC that has a computational complexity approximately five times but that of explicit MPC. We have a tendency to are ready to realize lower computational necessities by exploiting the inverter model and the structure of constraints.
