Distance-Based Inter-Cell Interference Coordination in Small Cell Networks: Stochastic Geometry Modeling and Analysis - 2018

ABSTRACT:

We tend to propose a distance-primarily based inter-cell interference coordination (ICIC) scheme in little cell networks (SCNs). Whereas most of the previous works focus on a randomly selected user referred to as a typical user, we have a tendency to specialize in a foothold user as a result of the main purpose of ICIC is to boost the performance of a foothold user. Since there are a number of inactive small cell base stations (SBSs) in SCNs, a straightforward criterion for an edge user such as being located near a cell boundary isn't appropriate for SCNs. To accurately detect edge users experiencing severe performance degradation, we newly define a foothold user in SCNs based mostly on the closest active neighbor SBS. We tend to then apply our scheme only to edge users where SBSs at intervals therefore-known as the cooperation radius from every edge user cooperate. With the help of the stochastic geometry we tend to get a semi-closed expression for the coverage probability of an edge user with our scheme. We tend to investigate 2 tradeoffs on the resource efficiency of a network and therefore the coverage probability of an internal user. We tend to then confirm the optimal cooperation radius that maximizes the coverage probability of a grip user considering the two tradeoffs. Our analytical results are validated through simulations.
