Panda Public Auditing for Shared Data with Efficient User Revocation in the Cloud - 2015

ABSTRACT:

With data storage and sharing services within the cloud, users can simply modify and share information as a cluster. To ensure shared knowledge integrity will be verified publicly, users in the group would like to compute signatures on all the blocks in shared data. Different blocks in shared data are usually signed by completely different users due to information modifications performed by different users. For security reasons, once a user is revoked from the cluster, the blocks which were previously signed by this revoked user must be re-signed by an existing user. The simple technique, that allows an existing user to download the corresponding half of shared knowledge and re-sign it throughout user revocation, is inefficient thanks to the big size of shared information in the cloud. In this paper, we tend to propose a unique public auditing mechanism for the integrity of shared information with economical user revocation in mind. By utilizing the concept of proxy re-signatures, we have a tendency to allow the cloud to re-sign blocks on behalf of existing users throughout user revocation, therefore that existing users do not would like to download and re-sign blocks by themselves. In addition, a public verifier is usually in a position to audit the integrity of shared data without retrieving the whole data from the cloud, whether or not some part of shared information has been re-signed by the cloud. Moreover, our mechanism is ready to support batch auditing by verifying multiple auditing tasks simultaneously. Experimental results show that our mechanism will considerably improve the potency of user revocation.
