OCGRR: A New Scheduling Algorithm for Differentiated Services Networks

ABSTRACT:

We tend to propose a replacement fair scheduling technique, known as OCGRR (Output Controlled Grant-based mostly Round Robin), for the support of DiffServ traffic in a very core router. We have a tendency to define a stream to be the identical-class packets from a given immediate upstream router destined to an output port of the core router. At each output port, streams might be isolated in separate buffers before being scheduled during a frame.
