Efficient Multi-Factor Authenticated Key Exchange Scheme for Mobile Communications - 2017

ABSTRACT:

Authenticated key exchange (AKE) is one of the most important applications in applied cryptography, where a user interacts with a server to line up a session key where pre-registered data (aka. authentication factor), such as a password or biometrics, of the user is stored. Whereas single-issue AKE is widely employed in practice, higher security considerations call for multi-factor AKE (MFAKE) schemes, e.g. combining both passwords and biometrics simultaneously. However, in some casually designed schemes, security is even weakened in the way that leakage of one authentication issue will defeat the full MFAKE protocol. Furthermore, an inevitable by-product arise that the usability of the protocol usually drop greatly. To summarize, the prevailing multi-factor protocols didn't offer enough security and potency simultaneously. In this paper, we have a tendency to create one step ahead by proposing a very economical MFAKE protocol. We tend to outline the protection model and give the according security analysis. We have a tendency to additionally implement our protocol on a smartphone and a cloud server. The theoretic comparisons and the experimental results show that our scheme achieves each security and usability.
