Extended Block-Lifting-Based Lapped Transforms
PROJECT TITLE :
Extended Block-Lifting-Based Lapped Transforms
ABSTRACT:
We tend to extend a resourceful lapped transform (LT) and use block-lifting factorization to urge an extended block-lifting-primarily based LT (XBL-LT). The block-lifting structure maps integer input signals to integer output signals and leads to a reversible rework that reduces rounding errors by merging many rounding operations. Though different such block-lifting-based LTs (BL-LTs) have been proposed, they are forcibly constrained by the utilization of discrete cosine rework (DCT) matrices. In distinction, XBL-LT is DCT-unconstrained and hence also embodies the DCT-constrained form. Furthermore, it's fewer rounding operations by merging the scaling factor with block-lifting coefficients. The both DCT-constrained and unconstrained XBL-LTs perform well at lossy-to-lossless image coding that has scalability from lossless information to lossy data.
