PROJECT TITLE :

Investigation of Ultrasmall $1times N$ AWG for SOI-Based AWG Demodulation Integration Microsystem

ABSTRACT:

Optoelectronic integration technologies primarily based on silicon-on-insulator (SOI) can bring revolutionary modification to on-chip arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) demodulation systems. During this study, we tend to gift many ultrasmall $one times N$ AWGs for an SOI-based mostly AWG demodulation integration microsystem of different scales. The core sizes of the fabricated AWGs are smaller than $400times 60zero mumboxm^a pair of$. Experimental results match the simulation results, indicating that AWGs have a sensible transmission spectrum of low crosstalk below −twenty dB and low insertion loss below −half-dozen.five dB. The fabricated AWGs will be perfectly applied to improve the mixing level and performance of the SOI-based mostly AWG demodulation integration microsystem.
