The View from the Top of the Mountain: Building a Community of Practice with the GridWise Transactive Energy Framework

ABSTRACT:

The topic of "transactive energy" (TE) has received additional and additional attention over the past 18 months. For instance, it has been a half of the New York Reforming the Energy Vision discussions and the topic of activities like the National Institute of Standards (NIST) TE Challenge. This growing discussion stems, in half, from the belief that new approaches are needed to efficiently and reliably integrate growing numbers of distributed energy resources (DERs).
