A low cost mHealth non-intrusive method to monitoring patient indoor Localization

ABSTRACT:

The development of economical mechanisms for detecting health problems in patients as early as potential is terribly welcome since the probability of positive outcomes from treatments will increase if the health drawback is detected on its early stages. On the other hand, many health issues will even be avoided if the condition of risk is detected before the patient start laid low with the disease. In this work, we tend to propose a novel, economical and low cost solution for indoor monitoring of patients for medical purposes based on Wi-Fi signal strength intensities and mobile computing. The output of our answer contains reports containing the patterns of space occupation by patients within home. These reports can enable health care professionals to detect changes on the behavior of patients which will be interpreted as early signs of health related issues. The proposed solution was implemented in an Android smartphone and tested in a very real state of affairs. To assess our resolution, 10 monitoring periods with the period of approximately one hour every, were performed at completely different times. Throughout every monitoring period, 40 random points were selected as measuring points and 391 correct detections out of four hundred potential were reached, cherish an average effectiveness of 97.75percent.
