Analysis of Phase-Locking in Narrow-Band Optoelectronic Oscillators With Intermediate Frequency

ABSTRACT:

During this paper, we investigate the phenomenon of phase-locking in laser-primarily based optoelectronic oscillators from the purpose of read of nonlinear dynamics. We tend to give a theoretical and experimental analysis of the phase dynamics of those oscillators when driven by an external voltage within the intermediate frequency range. This configuration leads to phase-locking phenomena that may be theoretically analyzed from the point of view of Arnold tongues theory. Our analysis permits to work out analytically the vary of parameters where the amplitude and therefore the frequency of the driving supply induce phase-locking.
