A 25 dBm Outphasing Power Amplifier With Cross-Bridge Combiners

ABSTRACT:

During this paper, we tend to present a twenty five dBm Class-D outphasing power amplifier (PA) with cross-bridge combiners. The Category-D PA is meant in an exceedingly customary 45 nm process whereas the combiner is implemented on board using lumped parts for flexibilities in testing. Comparing with conventional non-isolated combiners, the elements of the cross-bridge combiner are carefully chosen therefore that further resonance network is created to reduce out-of-part current, thereby increasing backoff potency of the outphasing PA. The Category-D outphasing PA with the proposed combiner is manufactured and measured at each 90zero MHz and a pair of.four GHz.
