A 25 dBm Outphasing Power Amplifier With Cross-Bridge Combiners PROJECT TITLE :A 25 dBm Outphasing Power Amplifier With Cross-Bridge CombinersABSTRACT:During this paper, we tend to present a twenty five dBm Class-D outphasing power amplifier (PA) with cross-bridge combiners. The Category-D PA is meant in an exceedingly customary 45 nm process whereas the combiner is implemented on board using lumped parts for flexibilities in testing. Comparing with conventional non-isolated combiners, the elements of the cross-bridge combiner are carefully chosen therefore that further resonance network is created to reduce out-of-part current, thereby increasing backoff potency of the outphasing PA. The Category-D outphasing PA with the proposed combiner is manufactured and measured at each 90zero MHz and a pair of.four GHz. It achieves fifty fivep.c peak power-added efficiency (PAE) at 900 MHz and 45% at 2.four GHz for a single tone input. For a ten MHz LTE signal with half dozen dB PAR, the PAE is 32percent at 900 MHz with −thirty-nine dBc adjacent channel power ratio (ACPR) and twenty twop.c at 2.four GHz with −thirty three dBc ACPR. With digital predistortion (DPD), the linearity of the PA at a pair of.four GHz is improved additional to reach −fifty three dBc, −fifty dBc, −42 dBc ACPR for 10 MHz, twenty MHz, and a pair of-carrier twenty MHz LTE signals.
